John Mousseau, Owner & Facilitator
John “Moose” Mousseau is the owner and facilitator of The Alternative Board Jersey Shore North. His journey has been fueled by a passion for unique, authentic adventures in both work and life. This drive has led him to deliver exceptional consumer experiences for some of the world’s leading brands. Today, he uses his expertise to guide small businesses and entrepreneurs, sharing lessons from his successes and failures.
John grew up in a small town in Rhode Island, where a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility were instilled in him from a young age. After college, his curiosity led him to explore the world, staying committed to pursuing excellence, he traveled to 30 countries. These experiences have shaped him into someone who’s not only a lifelong fitness enthusiast but who’s pragmatic and adventure-driven.
His career began in marketing roles at Kraft, CBS, and Mastercard before taking an entrepreneurial leap with a sporting goods start-up, Fogdog. After helping take the company public, he ran two Planet Smoothie franchises and later joined MKTG, where he helped grow the business from 30 to 1,000 employees. Despite these successes, he found something was missing.
A life coach helped John focus on what truly excites him: helping others succeed. Today, as the owner of The Alternative Board, he focuses on helping small and mid-sized businesses thrive by leveraging his marketing and operational expertise.
John’s goal is simple: to empower leadership teams to achieve their vision and take their businesses to new heights.
